10-Day Highlights of Costa Rica

Experience 10 days of adventure, nature, and relaxation in Costa Rica, combining volcanoes, waterfalls, lush rainforests, wildlife encounters, canopy tours, and pristine Pacific beaches in Tamarindo. Day 1 – Arrival in San Jose

Upon arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport in San Jose, personnel from Costa Rica Dream Travel Corporation will greet you, provide trip documentation, and transfer you to Hotel D Sabana. After express check-in, enjoy leisure time to relax and explore the hotel facilities. Private transportation, lodging, and hotel taxes are included. (Transfer duration: approximately 20 minutes.)

Day 2 – From San Jose to La Fortuna via Sarapiqui Rainforest

After breakfast, travel from San Jose to La Fortuna, with a stop at the Selva Verde Rainforest in Sarapiqui. Explore 500 acres of lush tropical rainforest with a naturalist guide, spotting monkeys, toucans, and other exotic wildlife. After the rainforest tour, continue to La Fortuna and check in at the hotel.

Day 3 – Caño Negro Wildlife Boat Tour

Enjoy a guided boat tour at Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, one of Costa Rica’s most important wetland areas. Spot birds, reptiles, monkeys, and other wildlife while cruising the Frío River and surrounding wetlands. Return to La Fortuna and enjoy leisure time at the hotel

Day 4 – Arenal Volcano Hike & Paradise Hot Springs

Spend the morning at leisure or on an optional activity. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided hike at Arenal Volcano National Park, walking through rainforest trails and lava flows while observing local flora and fauna. End the day with a relaxing visit to Paradise Hot Springs, surrounded by tropical gardens with views of the volcano.

Day 5 – Lake Crossing to Monteverde

Travel from La Fortuna to Monteverde via the scenic Arenal Lake Crossing. Board a comfortable pontoon boat to Río Chiquito, followed by a short microbus ride to your hotel. Check in at Hotel Fonda Vela and enjoy leisure time to explore the area or hotel facilities.

Day 6 – Monteverde Hanging Bridges

Learn about the unique ecosystem while spotting wildlife and exotic plants. Return to the hotel for leisure time or optional activities in Monteverde or Santa Elena towns. Days 8-9 – Relax and Explore Tamarindo

Day 10 – Departure from Costa Rica

At the scheduled time, a private transfer will take you from your hotel in Tamarindo to Liberia International Airport for your international flight.
