Snorkeling Tour & Hiking Cahuita National Park

Duration: 4 hours

This tour is done in a 12-person boat, with a captain and guide, around the Cahuita National Park.
There, we will go snorkeling for about two hours in the most important Coral Reef of Costa Rica where you could see: 35 different species of coral, 123 species of tropical fish, 3 species of sharks, 6 species of eels, 3 species of sea urchins, 140 of shellfish, 44 crustaceans, 128 types of algae, sea turtles, sea cucumbers, ocean sponges, lobster, shrimp, among others.
You will be provided with snorkeling equipment (mask, fins and snorkel tube).

Recommended: Comfortable clothes, insect repellent and walking shoes, swimming suit and towel.
Tour includes: Snorkeling equipment, bilingual guide, lunch, transportation, hiking through the National Park and bottled water. Civil responsibility insurance, boat and Captain.

Sloth Sanctuary

Aviarios del Caribe is an Integrated Model who works in research, protection and rehabilitation of sloths.
After arriving at the Sanctuary, you will enjoy a short presentation of 12 minutes about the center. In this video you will learn from these small and enigmatic creatures.
Afterwards, you will take a boat for up to 5 people, guide and boatman, and for 45 minutes you will travel through the tropical vegetation of the Estrella River, watching their wealth and exuberance of Caribbean rainforest.
After the boat tour, you will enjoy a 20 minutes hike where you will be able to spot sloths in their natural habitat, as well as birds, butterflies, monkeys and other species.
Finally, you can visit the gift store that features a number of memories of the sloths, and that is one of the resources of the rescue center.
After the tour, you will return to your hotel.

Gandoca – Manzanillo Guided Tour

Duration: 6 hours

The tour through the unique Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge will take you on a jungle adventure on which you will be able to see a beautiful tropical rainforest, white sandy beaches as well as a variety of vegetation and animals.
The park is home to 3 species of monkeys, 2 types of sloths and many other endangered or endemic species. With a little luck and cooperation from Mother Nature, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out wildlife such as these and others. Park is closed on Mondays.

The South Caribbean of Costa Rica is one of its cultural poles where there is the most varied gastronomy in the country. One of the most popular and traditional dishes is rice and beans, made with rice and red beans cooked in coconut milk and spices such as thyme and Panamanian chili.
During the tours we share with clients how to prepare the rice and beans and other Caribbean dishes, having the opportunity to participate in the preparation of these, enjoying a unique experience.

Caribbean Cooking Class Costa Rica

Air Kayak Safari Float

Duration: 4 hours

The “Air kayak safari float” is a tour designed for nature lovers. The tour takes place at the mouth of Tuba Creek, south border between Talamanca and Limon. The
activity consists of paddling along the river in double inflatable kayaks, along with a naturalist guide who makes an interpretation of the dynamics of the ecosystem, enjoying the exuberant natural landscapes and identifying different species of flora and fauna.
Among the wildlife that can be sighted are: various types of (boas, bocaraca, terciopelos, oropel, micas, ranera, etc.), sloths, white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, raccoons, blue morphos butterflies, birds such as widows, sergeants, cardinals, seven-colored tanagers, aracaris, iris-billed toucans, violet trogons, masena trogons, hummingbirds, yellow-breasted, squirrel cuckoos, tiger heron, blue heron, tricolored heron, barrata, plumbeous, trunk climbers, and kingfishers, depending on what mother nature wants to show us.
At the end of the tour we will go to a restaurant where we will enjoy a delicious Caribbean lunch just before being transferred to your hotel.

Air Kayak Safari Float Tuba Creek, South Caribbean, Costa Rica

Visit to Indigenous Reserve

Duration: 5 1/2 hours

This day indulge in the rich indigenous culture, to know the secrets of making chocolate and cool off in the beautiful waterfalls of Bribri.
After picking you up from your hotel you will visit the iguana farm and plant garden of KEKOLDY indigenous reserve, a big rural attraction place where a small indigenous family dedicates itself to the reproduction of the Green Iguana, a species that was endangered and thanks to some initiatives like this one have recovered. Then a local tour guide will take you to the garden of plants, that the natives by hundreds of years have used.
Then you will visit another indigenous family in the Bri-Bri indigenous reserve to enjoy a brief tour and learn about the properties and use of some plants also. There they will show you the process of how to make chocolate, which is very important in the Bri-bri culture because they use it in purification rituals, food and as medicine. The last place you will visit is a waterfall considered by the natives as sacred, where you will be able to refresh yourself in the clean water, of this place full of energy and enjoy a fruit snack. Finally, an amazing Caribbean lunch will be waiting for you in a restaurant of the area.
When finishes you will begin your way back to your hotel.
