Monteverde Cloud Forest and Tamarindo Beach

Day 1 - Arrival to Costa Rica

At the pre-arranged time personnel from Costa Rica Dream Travel Corporation will be at the International Airport (San Jose) to welcome your passengers and transfer them to the Hotel in Monteverde.
After check-in time leisure to relax and enjoy the services of the hotel.
After arrival at the hotel, express check-in and leisure time to enjoy the facilities of the hotel.

Note: Please note that check-in time in Costa Rica is at 3:00 p.m. In case your flight arrives early, please be aware that your room may not be ready upon your arrival at the hotel

Day 2 - Your choice of activity

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be ready to enjoy the activity of your choice. You can choose between discovering the secrets of the cloud forest at the hanging bridges or tasting the tropical flavors of the famous Costa Rican Coffee with the Don Juan Coffee & Chocolate tour.

Option 1: Visit to the Hanging Bridges
Enjoy a trek on the famed hanging bridges at Monteverde, a combination of suspension bridges and platforms built in the cloud forest tree tops. By having the opportunity to be next to these host trees you can experience, up close, the amazing biodiversity and understand how the Cloud Forest truly is co-dependent on its environment. In addition to the pleasure of walking through the forest, the hanging bridges give you a special insight into how the forest functions.

Option 2: Don Juan Coffee & Chocolate tour
This tour starts with your pick-up at your hotel to go to one of the best places in Monteverde to learn about the history, tradition, and production of the coffee. You will also learn about the growing, harvesting, and production of chocolate and sugar cane.
The first part of the journey is the coffee process. You will learn about the wonderful history of coffee in the world, followed by the history of coffee in Costa Rica and its importance in the development of the country. During the tour, other aspects of Costa Rican culture will be shown, as well as some of the traditions. You will see all the processes of the coffee, from the seed to the delicious final product, the cup of coffee. The second part of this tour is the famous chocolate tour. You will have an experience between aromas and history. You will participate in the process, enjoy, share, and taste the fruits of the cocoa until you reach their magnificent transformation turning into a delicious drink. This tour will show you the whole process of transition from seed to cocoa pure and ground.
The final part of the tour will be the sugar cane process. You will learn about its origin, plantation, different types of harvest, processes, and different varieties of products obtained. You will be able to live the experience of extracting cane juice by hand and enjoy a glass of pure sugarcane juice as well as a few pieces of the cane itself. A sweet ending to a sweet tour!

After the chosen activity, you will return to the hotel. During the rest of the day, leisure time to enjoy the area, take an additional tour, or walk at Monteverde or Santa Elena towns.

Day 3 - Day at leisure

During the day, time at leisure to enjoy the area or to enjoy an optional activity.

Day 4 - Welcome to the Pacific!

After breakfast at the hotel, the driver of your shuttle transportation will be waiting for you to transfer you to the great beach of Tamarindo where you will have time at leisure to enjoy the sea breeze, the ocean and get and/or take any optional tour available in the area.

Day includes: Breakfast, Shuttle transportation from Monteverde to Tamarindo beach, lodging and hotel taxes.

Day 5 and 6 Days at leisure

During the day, leisure time to enjoy the area.

Day 7 - A fantastic afternoon!

During the morning, you will have time at leisure to enjoy the beach, relax at the hotel, or experience an optional tour.
After midday, you will be ready to enjoy a fantastic afternoon on board a catamaran.
This day you will be picked up from your hotel and be taken to the dock where you will board a catamaran for your sunset cruise.
The tour starts at the Flamingo Marina area where the cruise will set the sail and navigate for about five miles giving you access to some of the most beautiful isolated beaches and diving locations of Costa Rica. You will then stop in a peaceful bay where a snorkeling guide will be pleased to show you marine wildlife or you can enjoy a double seat kayak or paddleboard. While you’re exploring the surroundings, the crew will prepare a delicious typical buffet snack. After you finished, you will set sail again and you can experience a Costa Rican sunset from a breathtaking vantage point on the Pacific Ocean. While comfortably enjoying the luxuries of the catamaran, keep your eyes open for dolphins, whales, sea turtles and manta rays that may be playing in the nearby waters.
When you get back to the dock your driver will take back to your hotel.

Day includes: Breakfast, light lunch, Sunset Sailing tour in regular basis, transportation in regular basis (shared), English Speaking tour guide, lodging and hotel taxes.

Transfer Duration: 4 hours approximately (This time includes the tour time, lunch time and travel time to and from the actual activity area)

Day 8 - Goodbye Costa Rica

At the pre-arrange time, and according to the international flight schedule, you will be transferred from the hotel to the International Airport in Liberia to take the international flight back.
Pick up time flight schedule according to the international flight schedule.
International Airport Authorities and Airlines recommend all passengers arrive at the airport 3 hours before scheduled flight departure. Note: Airport Exit Taxes not included ($29 per person).
