Day 1 - Arrival to Costa Rica

At the pre-arrange time personnel from Costa Rica Dream Travel Corporation will be at the airport to welcome you, provide you with the trip documentation and transfer you to the hotel in San Jose.
After arrival at the hotel, express check in and leisure time to enjoy the facilities of the hotel.

Day 2 - The impressive red landmark

After breakfast in the hotel and check out it is time to continue your journey to the norther plains of Costa Rica. Your shuttle bus transportation will meet you at the lobby of the hotel and will transfer you to the Arenal Volcano area.
Once in Arenal and after checking in, leisure time to enjoy the area.

Day includes: Breakfast, shuttle transportation from San Jose to La Fortuna, lodging and hotel taxes.

Day 3 - Vida Campesina

At the prearrange time, an English-Speaking tour guide will meet you at the lobby of the hotel, in order to take you to experience the “Vida Campesina” tour.
The participants will enjoy a guided journey guided of the Arenal Vida Campesina property where you can appreciate traditional and non-traditional cultivations and take part in activities like milking a cow, making tortillas, gathering of vegetables from the vegetable garden, cultural activities as the milling of sugar cane, typical dances and collecting water from our handmade well. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with the environment by sponsoring and planting a tree in danger of extinction and enjoying a typical, organic lunch made with products harvested from the property and cooked on a woodstove.
After lunch you wil return to the hotel and will time at leisure.

Day 4 - Sloths and birds

This day you will have a nice encounter with nature at the Sloths and birds tour.
You could say that the sloths are one of our emblematic animals of the fauna of Costa Rica. These small and gracious friends are particularly beautiful, owners of a tenderness with an eternal smile that makes it seem that he is always happy. Well, apparently, they are very happy because nothing stresses them.
We would like very much that you can join us on a short hike through the secondary forest and try to find them, generally on this special pathway -designed for all the family- it is very common that we can find these little green mammals, even if they try to blend in with the flora, our expert guides know their secrets, so they do not hide for a long time. In addition, we can enjoy many fabulous plants that will teach us curious facts. Because of its location and type of flora, this trail is very diverse in birds, so as to complement a morning or afternoon full of wildlife, we could appreciate many species of local birds. Recommended only for sloths and bird lovers!

After the tour it is time to return to the hotel to relax and enjoy the services of the hotel.

Day 5 - Arenal Monteverde!

After breakfast and check out of the hotel in Arenal, you will be ready to continue to your next destination: Monteverde.
At the prearrange time, the driver of your shared service will meet you at the lobby of the hotel in order to take you to enjoy the Lake Crossing service. Enjoy an amazing view of Arenal Lake and Volcano by the Arenal Lake Crossing. This service is a scenic, fast and the newest way to go from La Fortuna to the Monteverde area.
At the dam of Arenal Lake, you will get aboard into a very comfortable and safe pontoon boat for a 30 to 40 minutes (approximately) ride to Río Chiquito, a little town at the other side of the lake.
Arenal Lake is the largest and the most important lake in Costa Rica, it was man made in 1974 to provide hydroelectric energy for the country. It is also a place where you can find different kinds of resident and migratory birds. Sometimes mammals can be seen in the surroundings, also great views of the Arenal Volcano when it’s clear.
Once at Río Chiquito, we’ll leave the boat and make a short break. Afterwards, a microbus ride to get to the hotel in the Monteverde area.
After checking in at the hotel, leisure time to enjoy the area or the facilities of the hotel.

Day 6 - The Monteverde hanging bridges

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be ready to discover the secrets of the cloud forest at the hanging bridges.
Enjoy a trek on the famed hanging bridges at Monteverde, a combination of suspension bridges and platforms built in the cloud forest tree tops. By having the opportunity to be next to these host trees you can experience, up-close, the amazing biodiversity and understand how the Cloud Forest truly is co-dependent on its environment. In addition to the pleasure of walking through the forest the hanging bridges give you a special insight into how the forest functions.
Depending on the duration of the tour, you will return to the hotel. During the rest of the day, leisure time to enjoy the area, take an additional tour or to walk at Monteverde or Santa Elena towns. After the tour, you will return to the hotel. During the rest of the day, leisure time.

Day 7 - Monteverde

This day you will have the day at leisure to relax, enjoy the services of the hotel or take any optional tour available in the area.

Day 8 - Back to San Jose

After breakfast in the hotel, your shuttle bus transportation will be ready to take you back to San Jose. Once at the hotel time at leisure to relax or explore the city of San Jose.

Day 9 - Goodbye Costa Rica

At the pre-arrange time, and according to the international flight schedule, you will be transferred from the hotel to the International Airport in San Jose to take the international flight back.
