I am sorry for taking so long to report back to you on our Costa Rica trip. You nailed it. It was PERFECT. Exactly what we were looking for in our trip to Costa Rica.
Our San Jose hotel was fabulous. We love it. The San Jose tour was wonderful.
But the Lapa Rios, I can’t say enough good things about it. It was OUTSTANDING! Everything right down to the room. Your suggestion of one of the suites, that are closet to the resort was key. Having a room that close was perfect. If we had one of the rooms farther away, I think our experience would have been less than stellar.
Once again, thank you Nadja for putting together such a wonderful trip for us. It was perfect.

Hi Robin,
We had an amazing time! The mix-up probably worked in our favor as we got to see more. I kept asking about the swimming part, but the tour guide said we are not swimming. Nonetheless, it was still an amazing day of experiences. The three days in the rain forest and the three days on the coast were a perfect split. The cooking class was much more fun than anticipated. I highly recommend this excursion to anybody.
Additionally, the Manuel Antonio Park was crowded since they were closed the prior day. For those that can afford to have a private tour, I would recommend that for this particular park.
Lastly, the second hotel we stayed at had amazing food, probably the best we ate while we were there. Overall, a great trip. The people there are so nice and they really the make the experiences that much more special.
I greatly appreciate your help with this trip. It was a very special time! Emily

We had a great time in CR, back here on Friday night. All the flights and transport logistics went well, and Gloriana from CRDA checked in on the driver’s phone on the transfer to our hotel, just to say hello and let us know we could contact her for any questions or issues. Very supportive!
We loved the GRANO de Oro and took a 10 min taxi to and from the downtown where the Gold and Jade Museums were, and the Teatro National - all spectacular, as was the small café inside the Teatro (for lunch both days).
Villa Caletas was beautiful in a hilly and forested area, we had a huge gorgeous room and balcony overlooking the trees all the way to the Pacific. Our only complaint with it was that it had only one dining room (food was very good) and nothing else was available, not even any snacks in their small store, so a bit limiting in that regard.
The Parador was spectacular, we’d go back there any time! Wonderful room, good food with lots of snack/lighter meal options, gorgeous grounds, etc. Loved it!

The trip was absolutely perfect. Thank you for all your help! We commented several times how everything was planned out so well. The first hotel I picked (Hotel Dunama in Playa Flamingo) was a stunning location and staff were amazing. The rooms were fine - clean but pretty bare bones - linens could be updated.
All of the drivers were the best - they made it an experience given the windy, unpaved roads! They put in a couple stops to help our belies and we ate with the locals which was fabulous.
Food was so good! Definitely the right call you made for us to not rent a car -- thank God you said that!! Also really good to recommend Dramamine as the roads were rough.
The second hotel you recommended Hotel Magic Mountain was very nice and the excursions were great. Not one compliant we loved it.
